Calendars

The Prospero Calendars feature allows you to define and maintain calendar information on reports. The Calendars (or Period definitions) that you define internal to Prospero are intended as a tool to allow you to correct any deviations in date information. It’s important to note that if your Entity is linked to a General Ledger system, when the data is refreshed from the GL, any changes to the ‘internal’ Prospero Calendar settings will be overwritten. Therefore, any modifications or corrections which appear in the Prospero Calendar should also be made in the linked General Ledger system.

To access Calendar entries:

1.  Click on the Configuration bar in the Prospero Navigation Pane.

2.  Click on the Calendars icon to open the Calendars workspace.

3.  The fields and options available include the following:

Fiscal Year – A field for the numeric value for the fiscal year.

Fiscal Period – A field for the numeric value for the fiscal year.

Description – A description of the period.

End Date – This field allows you to enter a calendar end date for the fiscal period. You can enter the date directly or select it using the Calendar picker.

Current – This checkbox indicates the current period in the defined list.

Note: To manage Calendars, you must log in to the entity using an ID with permission to administer security. This is an Administrative-level permission.
