The Ribbon is a user interface (UI) commonly used in Microsoft® applications which consist of a horizontal row of icons grouped by functionality. Ribbons are large toolbars filled with graphical buttons and other controls.
Prospero uses ribbons to present core application features and functions. In addition, when the user selects a specific element, feature or function, Prospero will present a context ribbon – i.e. a group of options which are available only when that element, feature or function is active. When presented contextually, Prospero ribbons may also use tabs to expose different sets of controls, eliminating the need for many parallel tool bars.
